Vanadinite (Pb5(VO4)3Cl) can be ruby-red, orange, brown, yellow or multicoloured. Lustre is greasy, adamantine or resinous. Streak is white or pale yellow and hardness is 3. Vanadinite usually occurs as small prismatic crystals that can sometimes be hollow. Vanadinite can also be fibrous, incrusting, compact or globular.
