Monograptid

Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Hemichordata Class: Pterobranchia Subclass: Graptolithina Order: Graptoloidea Family: Monograptidae Two samples of shales. The larger sample has a monograptid rhabdosome. Rhabdosome is straight and sicula is unknown. Proximal 2TRD is ~1.2 mm with a rhabdosomal width of ~ 1.6 mm. Mesially the 2TRD increased to 1.7 mm and width remains constant. Thecae are dorsally hooded proximally and become slightly hooked mesially. Prothecal ventral wall is concave and thecal overlap is slight. Protheca-metatheca transition is curved. Smaller sample has no well-defined graptolites.
