Monograptids

Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Hemichordata Class: Pterobranchia Subclass: Graptolithina Order: Graptoloidea Family: Monograptidae Two samples of shale with a few monograptid rhabdosomes on the surfaces. One sample has a proximal to distal rhabdosome with no sicula. Proximal 2TRD is ~ 1.8 mm and rhabdosome width is ~ 1.3 mm. Mesially the 2TRD is ~ 1.9 mm and distally 2TRD is ~1.7 mm. Rhabdosome width is uniform throughout. Rhabdosomes on all graptolites are straight. Thecal tubes appear to be dorsal hoods with inclined prothecal ventral wall and slight to extensive thecal overlap.
