Three samples of shale with various Phyllograptus rhabdosomes on the surfaces. The smallest shale has two prominent Phyllograptus near the margin of the sediment. The average width for these rhabdosomes are 5.0 mm and 2TRD is 1.8 mm.
Second largest shale has one slight distorted Phyllograptus that has a 13.0 mm rhabdosome length and 3.0 mm rhabodosme width. The 2TRD is 1.6 mm.
Largest sample of shale has the most Phyllograptus rhabdosomes on the surface with the biggest one having a rhabdosome length of 17.0 mm, rhabdosome width of 4.0 mm and a 2TRD of 1.5 mm.
All visible Phyllograptus species show a scandent form.
