Description

Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Mollusca Class: Gastropoda Subclass: Orthogastropoda Order: Murchisoniina Family: Murchisoniidae Genus: Murchisonia (d'Archiac and de Verneuil, 1841) Species: Murchisonia gracilis (Goldfuss, 1844) Five turbinate/trochoid dextral specimens, labeled a to e, with two to three whorls. Apex of spire is missing. Sediment encrusted between each whorl. Large oval shape aperture. Specimens are slightly flat from preservation.
