Description
Sodalite (Na4Al3(SiO4)3Cl) can be blue, grey, white, colourless or green. Lustre is vitreous or greasy and streak is white. Hardness is 5 1/2 to 6 and cleavage is poor in six directions. Sodalite can occur as dodecahedrons, compact, disseminated grains or nodular.
