Description

Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Brachiopoda Class: Rhynchonellata Order: Athyridida Family: Athyrididae Genus: Composita (Brown, 1849) Species: Composita subtilita (Hall, 1852) Specimen with both the brachial and pedicle valves preserved. Faint growth lines are visible. Valves are slightly weathered. Brachial valve is slightly convex. Pedicle foramen is faintly visible but encrusted with sediment. Circular anterior margin and triangular posterior margin.
