Description

Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Brachiopoda Class: Rhynchonellata Order: Athyridida Family: Athyrididae Genus: Composita (Brown, 1849) Species: Composita subtilita (Hall, 1852) Two specimens with both the brachial and pedicle valves preserved. Faint growth lines are visible. Both valves are slightly convex. Faint sulcus (~0.7 cm). Pedicle foramen is visible in both specimens. Circular anterior margin and triangular posterior margin. Rounded, curved beak.
