Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Brachiopoda Class: Rhynchonellata Order: Rhynchonellida Family: Rhynchotrematidae Genus: Hiscobeccus (Amsden, 1983) Species: Hiscobeccus capax (Conrad, 1842) Three specimens with both the brachial and pedicle valves preserved. Large, coarse ribs (~0.2 cm). Large sulcus (~1.0cm) composed of four ribs. Prominent fold (~0.6 cm) composed of four ribs. Biconvex specimen. Rounded anterior and posterior margin. Plication is visible on both valves.
