Description

Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Brachiopoda Class: Rhynchonellata Order: Athyridida Family: Athyrididae Genus: Composita (Brown, 1849) Species: Composita subtilita (Hall, 1852) Three specimens labelled a to c, with both the brachial and pedicle valves preserved. Prominent, thin growth lines. Faint sulcus (0.8 cm) visible near the anterior margin. Plication near the commissure. Rounded anterior margin and triangular posterior margin. Small rounded beak.
