Description
Sample of colourless/orange euhedral prismatic/radial Creedite. Average Creedite crystal size: 0.7 cm x 0.3 cm x 0.1 cm.
Creedite (Ca3Al2(SO4)(F,OH)10 x 2H2O) can be colourless, white, violet or orange in colour. Lustre is vitreous and streak is white. Hardness is 3 1/2 to 4 and cleavage is perfect in one direction. Creedite usually occurs blade-like, prismatic, radial, drusy or granular aggregates.
