Description
Sample of white granular Wulfenite and yellow-orange subhedral tabular Wulfenite crystals. White Wulfenite crystals have an adamantine lustre and the tabular Wulfenite crystals have a resinous lustre.
Averarge tabular Wulfenite crystal size: 0.7 cm x 0.5 cm x 0.1 cm.
Wulfenite (PbMoO4) can be yellow, orange, brown, yellowish grey or whitish in colour. Lustre is resinous or adamantine and streak is white. Hardness is 3 and cleavage is distinct in one direction. Wulfenite usually occurs as pseudo-tetragonal due to twinning but can also be square tabular, cube-like, massive, or coarse to fine granular in form.
