Description
Four samples. One sample is ruby-orange euhedral prismatic Vanadinite crystals with an adamantine lustre. Other samples are brown/red euhedral prismatic Vanadinite crystals with an adamantine lustre. Largest crystal size: 0.5 cm x 0.3 cm x 0.1 cm.
Vanadinite (Pb5(VO4)3Cl) can be ruby-red, orange, brown, yellow or mulitcoloured. Lustre can be greasy, adamantine or resinous. Streak is white to pale yellow and hardness is 3. Vanadinite usually occurs as small prismatic crystals that can sometimes be hollow but can also be fibrous, incrusting, compact or globular.
