Description
Several thin hexagonal euhedral crystals of Emerald with visible striations along the length of the crystal face.
Emerald (Be3Al2Si6O18) is the name given for the bright green variety of Beryl. Lustre is vitreous and streak is colourless. Hardness is 7 1/2 to 7 and cleavage is indistinct in one direction. Beryl usually occurs as six-sided prisms that have striations along the length of the crystal faces.
