Description

Two samples of Fluorite: one a deep violet showing massive to subhedral crystals. Lustre is vitreous. One is a light violet/colourless showing dipyramidal pseudo-octahedral subhedral crystals and dull lustre. Average crystal size: 1.3 cm x 1.2 cm x 1.0 cm. CaF2 Wardite (NaAl3(PO4)2(OH)4·2(H2O)) can be colourless, white, pale green, blue-green, yellow-green, pale yellow or yellow pink. Lustre is vitreous and hardness is 5.
