Description
Sample of pink (salmon colour) subhedral rhombohedrons of Chabazite with a vitreous lustre. Average size of each rhombohedron: 0.9 cm x 1.0 cm 0.5 cm.
Chabazite (CaAl2Si4O12 x 6H2O) can be white, yellow, pink or red in colour and lustre is vitreous. Streak is white and hardness is 4 to 5. Chazbazite usually occurs as rhombohedrons that may look like cubes due to the angles of the faces being nearly 90 degrees. Can also be compact.
