Description

Small, dark yellow-orange subhedral prismatic Citrine crystals that are terminated by double rhombohedrons. Vitreous lustre. Citrine (SiO2) is the name of the variety of clear yellow Quartz. Lustre is vitreous or greasy streak is white. Hardness is 7. Quartz is usually found as long or short prismatic crystals that are terminated by a double rhombohedron and have striations crosswise. Quartz can also be granular, disseminated or massive.
