Description
Seven samples of Citrine that are yellow-orange in colour and have a vitreous lustre. Samples are short, thick subhedral prismatic crystals that are terminated by a double rhombohedron.
Citrine (SiO2) is the clear yellow variety of Quartz. Lustre is greasy or vitreous and streak is white. Hardness is 7. Quartz (Citrine) is usually found as long or short prismatic crystals that are terminated by double rhombohedrons and have striations crosswise. Quartz can also be granular, disseminated or massive in form.
