Description
Large massive sample of colourless Quartz with a greasy lustre.
Quartz (SiO2) can come in a variety of colours from white to purple. Lustre is greasy or vitreous and streak is white. Hardness is 7. Quartz is usually found as long or short prismatic crystals that are terminated by double rhombohedrons with striations crosswise. Quartz can also be granular, massive or disseminated.
