Description

Euhedral tabular brown sample of Corundum with faint striations. Corundum (Al2O3) can be white, grey, brown to black, deep red (Ruby) or blue (Sapphire). Lustre is vitreous or adamantine and streak is white. Hardness is 9. Corundum can be tapering prismatic crystals or can be pyramidal and tabular. Striations along the crystals faces is common.
