Description

Sample is white vitreous Magnesite in cleavable form. Magnesite (MgCO3) is white, yellowish, greyish or brown in colour with either a vitreous or dull lustre. Streak is white and hardness is 3 1/2 to 4 1/2. Cleavage is perfect in three directions forming a rhombohedrons. Magnesite can be compact, granular, cleavable masses or rhombohedral crystals.
