Two samples. Howieite is small black needle-like crystals and Deerite is larger black prismatic crystals. Howieite (Na(Fe2+,Fe3+,Al,Mg)12(Si6O17)2(O,OH)10) Deerite (Fe6Fe3(Si6O17)O3(OH)5) Howieite is black in colour. It hast thin black needles in radial and divergent sprays crystals. Deerite is black in colour and has monoclinic-prismatic crystals.
