Description
Sample of globular-like thick needles of Mimetite crystals that are yellow-brown in colour with a resinous lustre.
Mimetite (Pb5(AsO4)3Cl) can be yellow, orange or brown with a resinous lustre. Streak is nearly white and hardness is 3 1/2 to 4. Cleavage is poor. Mimetite is found as pseudohexagonal, thin or thick needles, tabular, globular, reniform or incrusting.
