Description

Sample of light yellow bladed/acicular Thomsonite with a pearly lustre. Thomsonite (NaCa2(Al5Si5O20) x 6H2O) can be colourless, white, light yellow or green, pink or brown in colour. Lustre is vitreous or pearly and streak is white. Hardness is 5 to 5 1/2 and cleavage is perfect in one direction and good in another direction.
