Description
Colourless acicular Natrolite with a vitreous lustre.
Natrolite (Na2Al2Si3O10 x 2H2O) can be white, colourless, greyish, yellowish or reddish mineral. Lustre is vitreous or silky and streak is colourless. Hardness is 5 to 5 1/2 and cleavage is perfect in one direction. Natrolite usually occurs as slender to acicular crystals but can also be radial, granular, compact. Usually found as radiating groups in cavities of volcanic rocks.
