Description

Three radial compact white Natrolite samples with a vitreous lustre. Natrolite (Na2Al2Si3O10 x 2H2O) can be white, colourless, greyish, yellowish or reddish in colour. Lustre is vitreous or silky and streak is colourless. Hardness is 5 to 5 1/2 and cleavage is perfect in one direction. Natrolite usually occurs as slender to acicular crystals but can also be radial, granular, compact. Usually found as radiating crystals in the cavities of volcanic rocks.
