Description
Red bands of Moss Agate. Polished Sample.
Agate is a variety of Chalcedony (Quartz (SiO2)). Bright green with spots of red is considered Agate while bands would be Moss Agate. Lustre can be waxy, vitreous or dull and streak is white and hardness is 7. Chalcedony is microcrystalline variety of Quartz but can also be mammillary, compact or banded.
