Polished sample of Tiger-Eye Quartz.
Tigre-eye Quartz (SiO2) is a variety of Quartz known to have yellow and brown parallel fibres and can have a vitreous or greasy lustre. Streak is white and hardness is 7. Quartz can be long or short prismatic crystals that are terminated by double rhombohedrons but can also be compact, massive, granular or disseminated.
