Description

Colourless short prismatic Quartz and Amethyst crystals with a greasy lustre. Quartz (SiO2) can come in a variety different colours and when it is purple it is known as Amethyst. Lustre can be vitreous or greasy and hardness is 7. Streak is white. Quartz can be long or short prismatic crystals that are terminated by double rhombohedrons. Can also be granular, massive or disseminated.
