Description
Half of a spherical geode, 6 cm diameter. Light-grey banded geode, polished surface inside surrounded by weathered "granitoid" rock.
Agate (Chalcedony) is a variety of Quartz (SiO2) that is bright green with red spots (agate) or can be banded (moss-agate). Lustre can be vitreous or greasy and streak is white. Hardness is 7. Can be compact, banded, botryoidal forms that are crusting or mammillary forms.
