Browse Arsenate

Description

Arsenate minerals belong to the phosphate mineral class, but differ by having the arsenate ion (AsO₄³⁻) instead of the phosphate ion (PO₄³⁻). Because these ions have the same charge and similar size, arsenate minerals often share structures, properties, and solid-solution relationships with phosphate and vanadate minerals.
